Be You, Do You, For You Layout for Paige Evans, Cut File Design Team

Hello friends, Happy New Year! Today, I’m sharing my first Cut File Design Team layout for 2023 using several cut files by Paige Taylor Evans.  I always love putting cut files together in a fun new way.

I began by designing a rainbow border using Paige’s, Alphabet Background Cut File to herald, ‘This Year’ across the top and bottom of my layout.

Between the borders, I added a stitching cut file, ‘Be You, Do You, For You’. It’s just one of twenty cut files in Paige’s, 20 Days of Stitching Cut Files Bundle. I think it’s a good mantra for the year, don’t you? I added chain stitching with all 6 strands of DMC Floss, colour B5200

Each of the letters was filled with rolled flowers from Paige’s, Rolled Flower Bundle. A year filled with rainbows and flowers, what could go wrong? 😁 Four year old me would think 2023 is looking good.

The finishing touches, Butterflies and Epoxy Buttons from Paige’s pretty, Garden Shoppe Collection. Of course a little sparkle from some  sequins is always a must.

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

    1. You’re a doll Alys! Thanks again my friend 💗 Some people thought it’d take a long time to roll all the little flowers and while it did, it took me much longer to pick out the papers. But it’s fun (I think) to go through each collection again. I find myself saying, ‘Oh yah, this one is sooo cute’ . It’s certainly something I love about working with Paige’s collections. They seem to all be able to mingle in some fashion. 💗💛

        1. ((( You ))) 💗 Paper crafting is a fabulous diversion from the troubles of the world isn’t it? I just love color and pattern and putting it all together. You’d think I’d have a better wardrobe, LOL. I can never find much I like and should bust out my sewing machine and get down to it xK

          1. I used to love to sew, but I seem to have lost my mojo in recent years. I loved making the costumes, but I didn’t even get to do that this past Halloween. Sigh. I’ve found that the key to building my wardrobe is to find a few websites/shops that consistently offer things in my styles/colors AND that they are well made. There is so much cheap clothing to be had. I’d rather pay for a few quality pieces instead of falling prey to the latest trend. When I lost weight 18 months ago, I needed new pants, smaller tops and even some of my dresses needed to be sized down. It was challenging and time-consuming finding things I liked that also fit. I did a lot of buy/return, buy/return.

          2. How nice to be able to shop on-line. I’ve tried it twice. Both times with great disappointment. I find the shop/return process tedious. I pretty much have to try everything on b4 I buy. I have weird proportions I think 🤓🌸

          3. You do not have weird proportions, you simply haven’t discovered the company that sells your perfect fit. I can buy exercise gear (leggings and tops) though Athleta for instance. They cater to tall people and the quality is amazing. Travelsmith is great for long, flowing dresses that don’t require much fit. That said, I’ve sent back some duds as well. They’ve made it far easier to return things these days. You print out a slip on line, put it back in the same bag, then drop it at your nearest post office. In your case, you have to deal with higher shipping costs, bad weather which would certainly keep me from driving in it, etc. Conversely, I can spend hours at stores and come home empty handed. You’re adorable.

    1. So sorry for my late response Lavinia. Would be nice if spring was around the corner, but it’s still elusive here. We got some new snow last night, but luckily it’s not too cold. It’s stuck to all the trees and looks so pretty. The silver lining, or perhaps white lining this morning 😀 💗xK
