Hi friends, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I managed to get in a LOT of scrapping this month. Layouts, Cards and gifts for friends. Here’s an idea that would actually work for many different occasions.
This was made as a Christmas Countdown. But it could also easily be a countdown to a milestone birthday, Easter or wedding depending on the scrap product you use.
I made pretty round covers for two plastic caddies the size of muffin tins. I found them in the art section of a local shop. They can be used to hold, ephemera, paint, beads, paperclips or any other number of crafty things, after they’ve been open.
It was fun shopping for tiny treasures to fill each cup.
The layered scalloped circles were cut on my Silhouette Cameo. I used this cut file by Pink and Main. For my project, the larger scalloped circle was 3.25″ and the small circle was 3″. The bottom layer was cut from white AC Cardstock, the pattern paper and some of the embellishments is super cute, Mix and Mingle Collection by Simple Stories. I really loved the colour mix of soft pink and mint, cherry red, white and Kelly green.
I used Silhouette Design Store cut files to add an extra layer to some of the covers: Doily, Gingerbread Girl Rosette, Christmas Candy. They make a nice background beneath all the ephemera.
I thought the LDRS McKenna Christmas Collection Puffy Stickers matched so well and are impossibly cute!
This pretty poinsettia is a Christmas Die by Zsoka Marko at A Pocket Full Of Happiness.
Lots of layers were made from Simple Stories Mix and Mingle Ephemera. I really love mixing collections to make something all your own. We all have a style, I’d might describe mine as girly/eclectic.
How would you describe your own style?
Thank you so much for coming by! xoK
I can see them so much better here. They are just too cute! You have the patience of a saint. But well worth it.

Hey hey Marlene! Thanks for swinging in to scrapland 😀 and your cheer on my project too. It’s fun for me and doesn’t really require much patience really. Well sometimes my electronic cutter goes on a tangent and I have to smack talk it, LOL. Happy New Year sweet friend ❤️💚

Happy New Year Lavinia! I hope you enjoyed a beautiful Christmas. We had some crazy weather but survived as always. Thanks so much for your message about my little project. Always trying to use up bits, but of course always buying more too! It’s the circle of life for scrappers, ha ❤️💚
