The Sweetest Thing by Kelly Daye
I dreamt I lived in a pumpkin house,
I wasn’t tall, mere size of a mouse.
I still grew flowers everywhere,
Their pretty scent filled the air.
There’s a mailbox where I get crafty things
and other stuff the mailmouse brings.
With flower pots at my arched door,
I couldn’t love it any more.
Come for tea, I’ll make it hot,
we can sit outside on a mushroom top.
We’ll eat the cakes you kindly bring
at my orange house, the sweetest thing.

Hey hey California girl 💗🌸 Thank you for your generous and sweet message! We could sit on the pretty mushrooms for a while, then hop on bikes and scoot around the garden. Maybe we’ll shimmy up the tendrils for a view from the top. There’s always lots to do in the garden. You know how it is 🥰😘💗
