I just loved todays cut file, ‘Keep Calm And Rake On’ because there’s so many ways to fill a phrase cut file. Back the letters, pop up the letters with 3D foam tape (that’s what I did), fill with photos, fill with ephemera. You can probably think of even more techniques I’m sure? Pink goes with everything don’t you think?
I’ve linked to all the gorgeous Garden Shoppe product at Paige’s Blog today, but also have a Cameo Tutorial today. Watch my YouTube to learn how I made three layers using Paige’s cut file.
Did you notice all the tiny leaves sprinkled around my layout?
I used my PicScan sheet to easily cut them out on my Silhouette. Watch Paige’s video to learn how.
Three of the letters in the cut file hold my fall photos. I also cut those on my Silhouette.
Here’s my Cameo Tutorial to show you how. Start watching at 59 seconds.
I admit, the backgrounds I enjoy making are a time investment, but I also enjoy creating little collages around the design with all-the-pretty-things.
Think about making three of these to create that magical ‘invisible triangle’ that leads the eye around your layout. On my design, two collages are made up of flowers, thread, leaves and hearts, while the third collage centre’s around the letter ‘O’ where I backed it with a pretty sticker. You can enlarge the photos below by clicking on them.
Please let me know if you have any questions ! Happy Scrapping friends 💗
It’s so bright and cheery, it looks like a Mary Engelbreit design from a distance.
