Hello crafty friends! I was tickled to be invited by sweet Jessica Ware to participate in Scraptember and chose September 23rd, Heart Theme.
I’ve used a cut file by talented Paige Taylor Evans called Split Heart and a bunch of Pinkfresh Studio collections. You can check out all the products at my Scrapbook dot com Gallery.
I also made a Scalloped Heart cut file to lay beneath the Split Heart that I’ve chain-stitched with sequins. Both are free to you for your Personal Use only. Download the .studio3 file by clicking on this link. The file includes all the backing pieces for the Split Heart as well, enjoy !! If you need the SVG file, please send an email to Kellymadeit.wordpress@gmail.com as I’m unable to add it here at WordPress.
You can see in my upper banner how easy it is to mix collections to make it unique and all your own.
I sewed on my title for even more texture and love making little vignettes around my photos of all-the-pretty-things.
Here’s my YouTube process video that includes a step-by-step Silhouette tutorial that shows you how to cut your photo into this unique shape using your Cameo.
Thanks so much for joining me today !! Cheers Kelly 💛
Hello lovely Lavinia! Thanks so much for that. The photo is of Jim and I in Salzburg, Austria. We went on the Sound Of Music tour with a fabulous and fun guide. In the movie, in this very Gazebo, Baron Von Trapp asks Maria to marry him 😃 Austria is gorgeous at every turn. If you’ve never been, maybe put it on a bucket list 💛xK
Ah Kelly – Congratulations on your Guest Spot. You and Pink Fresh Studio are a match made in heaven. The fresh, gelato colours combine perfectly with the sequins and your gold thread work. I love the shaped photo right in the middle of the heart and those tiny butterflies are charming. You are so generous to share your files as well as the backing pieces; thank you so much. I’m off to find a you tube about making the butterflies now. Thanks for the inspiration. x
Hi hi Helen! Thanks so much for your visit and kind message, you are a complete joy. It was the first Scraptember for me. The girls that organize it all are really the stars. Do you follow @Scrappysistersoz ? My friend Jessica Ware (mom, teacher, scrapper) lives in Melbourne and did so much for the event. I don’t even comprehend how she does it all. Hope you’re on the mend my dear and looking forward to a fab summer. Hugs xK
That is beautiful work, Kelly! I love the photo of you and yours, too!
