Tonight will be a bit different for your little ones, but hopefully still a bit spooky and a lot of fun. This super cute cut file by Paige Taylor Evans , is available exclusively in her 13 Days Of Halloween Cut Files bundle.
Can Halloween be scrapped as a colourful rainbow? Absolutely, with gorgeous Go The Scenic Route.
I’ve actually used 3 of the 13 cut files from Paige’s Halloween cut file bundle. Along with today’s cut file, I also used #4 Monsters and #12 Candy. My initial plan? Simply place warm colours on the left and cool colours on the right. I cut a fourth Paige Evans cut file, Star Confetti, to lay over my background, Paper 21. I love how all pretty colours peek through the Star Confetti cut file. Isn’t Paper 21 a delight?!
I always enjoy adding a little chain stitching. It adds a lot of pretty texture.
Did you notice the colourful shadow beneath the title? It’s an offset of the cut file made with another piece of Paper 21 and helps pop the title off the starry background. A little Oxide Ink was blended around the title, tone on tone. The Puffy Word Stickers, HAPPY, LOVE and FUN where also added, again, tone on tone. It’s a lot of fun to have so many choices with this gorgeous collection.
The sparkly stars were made with Paige’s Star Stencil and Glitter Paste. I spread it on a scrap of white cardstock, when dry, I fussy cut out a few and popped them up around my layout, Ta Da! Finally, you’ve seen this before, a rainbow border of sequins. I just couldn’t resist, I must have the sparkle!

Your pages are so beautiful. They always uplift. The pumpkin filled with sequins is my favorite part because, well, it’s a pumpkin! It’s so darn cute.
I love the cut file and what you’ve done to give it dimension and sparkle. It’s a feast for the eyes.

Hey sweets! Thanks so much for your lovely message ❤️ It was lots of fun seeing what everyone did with Paige’s Bundle. There were 4 inspirations done for each day, 13 days in a row. Paige gifted participants with the entire bundle if we wanted to participate. She’s just adorable. Of course it was a no brainer 😄
It’s really quite a simple process making the shadows behind the cut file. I have a how-to video at my YouTube if you ever want to give it a whirl. Works for smaller things too of course, like for a card greeting or something. Big Hug lovely lovely Alys xo K
