It’s Day 8 of Paige’s exclusive, 20 Days of Summer Cut Files Bundle.

It’s available at this link and you can join today!  I’ve scrapped the Floral Globe with Paige’s Horizon Collection adding the paper in rainbow fashion.

Once the globe was paper backed, I made holes approximately a quarter inch apart and chain stitched with 6 strands of DMC Embroidery Floss.

It takes a while, but I love the look. Once stitched, I attached a backing to the entire globe of vellum that I hand tinted with Archival Inks. I made the backing in Silhouette Design Studio by ‘Releasing The Compound Path’ and dragging the outline off the mat then erasing all the inside cuts. I used the same technique to make my Bloom Street Butterfly Cards and you can check out the Tutorial at my YouTube Channel.

Once the Floral Globe cut file was designed I embellished with ephemera from the collection and prepared my background. Again, in rainbow fashion, I blended 6 Distress Oxide Inks in layers that coordinated with my paper-backing. I used Paige’s brand new Wonky Hearts 6×6 Stencil and gold texture paste on top! You know I love the sparkly stuff 😁
