Bloom Street Mini Album – Scrapping Love

One of the things I really love about being on Paige’s team is having assignments that challenge me to step away from my comfort zone and try new things. Sometimes it’s a set of cards, today it’s a mini album.

As you know, Paige is a pro, creating little gems full of folding pages, tags and gorgeous travel photos. My mini is all about a magical year of scrapbooking. Starting with joining Paige’s awesome team last July, meeting at Creativation, learning new ways to save memories and being inspired by friends around the world.

I used heavy white cardstock as the base of my album, designing it in Silhouette using Paige’s Love In Flowers cut file and Flower cut file .  Each letter was cut out of White AC cardstock and backed with soft pastel Bloom Street papers. The design looked like this:

Once I had the pages planned in Silhouette, I welded part of the flower cut file to a simple rectangle to make the back of the album. You can also check out Paige’s Love Mini Album with all the design work already done for you !!

Naturally, I had to have tassels and chose one from cute Bloom Street Tassel Set.  Leave it to me to take things apart. I wanted the pink heart on a mauve tassel I made with DMC Embroidery Floss. Then, I tried something totally new! I made a macrame rope rainbow. I learned how with this video by Rachel Lowe! I adore Rachel and her style. Visit her Instagram for all the pretty things!

The first page is the L and there’s only a tiny bit of room on the back of it but I was still able to plan a pretty garden.

Page 3, a shaker made with the heart wreath from the Exclusive Bloom Street Ephemera package .  There’s me meeting Paige at Creativation in January, hope I didn’t babble on too much !

Page 4 is a paper folio made with Paige’s Accordion Box Mini Album cut file ! The cut file includes index cards and Paige has a fabulous tutorial.

Page 5, above, is another mini in a mini. I’ve made a heart envelope to hold Paige’s Heart Mini Album cut file.  The front of the envelope is cross stitched with DMC embroidery floss. I had my Cameo draw Paige’s Cross Stitched Heart cut file to use as a template. Just another way to use cut files! My title was made with Puffy Word Stickers . The word tags are from the Cardstock Sticker Sheet and the hello sticker is from the Exclusive Bloom Street Sticker Sheet.

Each heart highlights a project by my talented teammates and of course a gorgeous inspiration from sweet Paige too. I cut out the folding heart from cardstock and covered each one with paper from the 6×8 Paper Pad or a wee scrap left from other projects.

Page 6 is a stitched scene inspired by a project Paige shared just a couple of weeks ago. I finally figured out how to do French Knots (honestly, it took years, ha) and stitched up fussy cut flowers from Paper 12. Once stitched, I popped them up with foam tape and tucked in a tag from the Exclusive Bloom Street Ephemera package.

Page 7, another mini in a mini and Paige’s Eat Sleep Scrap Repeat cut file . I used Paige’s Envelope cut file to make a cover and added a violet posy from the Mixed Floral Ephemera Pack to pretty it up even more.

Inside, a simple five sided fold-out gave me room for three photos, a tag from Paper 1 and embossed panels that I added Puffy Words too. I did some machine stitching for extra texture, leaving the threads messy.

The back cover was the perfect spot for Paige’s Mini Album Card With Pocket Envelope & Tags cut file.  The forth mini in this mini and the direct result of being unable to pick just one! After painting with Prima Pastel Dreams watercolours on watercolour paper, I used Paige’s brand new 6×6 Flower Stencil and white texture paste on top. I machine stitch the same paper to make a belly band and stapled on a Puffy Vinyl Butterfly Sticker as a closure.

Inside, this clever card folds out in different directions and layers. There’s a pocket for tags and another folding mini for more photos. Does that mean I have 5 mini’s in my mini? Want to make this folding mini? Watch Paige’s tutorial here!

So that was kind of long and if you’re not tired of me yet, I’ve attached a flip-thru Video below. Thanks so much for coming, bye bye for now!

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛
