Stay Sweet , Keep Moving Forward

Hello friends.

June is the month we celebrate dads. For some of us, it’s a time to remember special moments and sage advice when we can’t spend the day with our dads anymore.

I miss him everyday and dedicate this page to dad.

My journaling reads, “when I was 29, my life got very sad very fast. But I knew I would be ok because dad was there. Thanks dad xo”. It’s about unwavering love and a beautiful file by Paige Evans, ‘Cut & Fold Hearts Heart’ was the perfect way to document dads support.

The file only cuts half a heart so that you can fold it back to reveal the paper colour on the back. This paper is new by Pink Paislee, called ‘And Many More’. It’s a combination of all my favourite things. Including pink, mint, flowers and a bit of yellow that adds the sunshine. I wasn’t able to get any ephemera for this collection, so I stash busted some much loved vintage collections.

The yellow bow is from Paige Evans’ Take Me Away collection. Pom-pom frame and mint charm are both vintage Crate Paper.’Celebrate 29′ is Pink Paislee, Confetti Wishes. Can you ever have too many hearts on a page? I also used Paige’s heart stencil and white texture paste around the flower bouquets. It’s sold out, but this cut file would work well too.

The photo is from the same year. It’s true, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Now, I have a blessed life with a man I love and he loves me back.

As always, your visits mean the world.

Thanks so much for being here!

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

  1. Your dad was a treasure. I’m so glad he was there for you when you needed him the most. I’ve wished many a time that my dad could have met my boys, Mike, see my garden, all of it. It’s tough.

Your page of two-sided hearts is a treasure, too. What a beautiful tribute. xo

  2. Beautiful, Kelly💖. I love the hearts so that they can be bent back to see the colour underneath. The embellishments bring it all together. Such a meaningful layout. 🤗

    1. Hello sweet friend. Thanks so much for your visit and kind message too ! Isn’t that a cool cut file? I’ve been looking at it for a while, waiting for a paper I liked both sides of. Have you been doing any crafting ? I miss you 💕

  3. That is beautiful, Kelly, and I agree with Derrick, a fine tribute to your father.

“Now, I have a blessed life with a man I love and he loves me back.” That statement is a wonderful tribute to your husband, too!

    1. Hello dear one, thank you so much for popping in. Life is full of ups and downs hey? Luckily my life is full of way more ups. Scrapping is a joyful way to express ourselves I think. I was looking through this old album and began thinking about that year and then of my dad and the next thing you know, I was scrapping. Good therapy 💕🥰❤️ xK
