Hello friends, I sure appreciate your visit during these crazy times. I’m reminded again how small the world really is. I feel so blessed to be part of this creative community as we support each other from our homes far apart.
Today I’m sharing my Silhouette Design Team layout for Paige Evans! I’m so happy to have Paige’s Bloom Street Collection to create with. It’s full of spring images and beautiful pastel colours in every shade. Thank heavens for our crafty spaces, am I right?!
I made this layout for my dear friend. Nadine is loving, supportive, giving, hardworking, creative and can really make me laugh. Don’t you wish she was your friend too?! I started the layout by paper-backing Paige’s Floral Umbrella cut file. All the product details are shared on my post at Paige’s blog today.
Suffice to say, I positively adore this whole collection and do use a lot of it on this layout! There’s butterflies, a snail, clouds parting for the sun and a rainbow popping up into the sky. Oh my! Want to make clouds on your next layout? Paige’s Cloud Trio cut file is perfect because they’re individual and you can mirror them to make even more shapes!
The background was made with white cardstock and my ancient EK border punch. I cut 1.75″ strips, punched them and taped them in place so as they overlapped. I just eyeballed their placement so that they looked evenly spaced. The inspiration was Paige’s layout made with her own border punch. Check out the link!
As you know, I’m a bit mad for stitching on my layouts and had to work that in too. The rainbow was made using Paige’s Rainbow Cut File. I used the Knife Tool in Silhouette to slice it in half and remove the two clouds. Then using the inside part of the bands, I traced them onto Paper 10 and 22 to get 5 soft colours. The bands were taped onto a piece of vellum and hand stitched in matching DMC thread.
There you have it, Nadine and her sweet family bringing sunshine and rainbows to even a rainy day! Hope you found an idea or two to use on your next layout.
Until next time, happy spring!
Cheers dears ❤
Beautiful work, Kelly!

hello hello! Thank you so much Lavinia 💕 I would imagine you’re sticking close to home too. It so nice to have things we enjoy to get through this craziness. I’ve been thinking about you and your garden and how that’d be great to grow our own veggies, even if summer is short here. ox K
