Hello again crafty friends!
So January was pretty awesome. Thanks to my friends at Treasured Memories, I got an invite to Creativation 2020 and got to meet and hug-it-out with sweet and lovely Paige Taylor Evans!
Naturally, I wanted to save that special memory to a layout and chose to design with Paige’s colourful Pick Me Up collection. It’s from a bit ago but I still love working with it.
I wanted to use one of Paige’s Sketch & Stitch® files to design something as special as the moment was to me. I went with her gorgeous Geometric Background. If you haven’t already, do watch this video where Paige shows you how to set up your Cameo 3 to use these fabulous files.
Once my Cameo was done, I used Prima watercolours from Pastel Dreams to add a loose triangular shape to my background. Can you see it?
After a fair bit of stitching with three colours of DMC floss and metallic thread, I was thrilled with the results.
Adding all the pretties is always so much fun. I made the gorgeous flowers with more of Paige’s cut files, Layered Flower and Leaves #311424 and Layered Flower #271164. They add so much dimension and texture to my page. Then, I piled on the goodies from the Ephemera Pack to fill in my vignettes.
Please join me at Paige’s Blog for all the product and paper details. While you’re there, you can check out other Design Team creations. These talented ladies continue to inspire me every single day.
Thank you so much for coming by, see you again soon!
PS, Here’s what I do to iron out any wavey paper after watercolouring 😀

I’m delighted to have been with you when you connected with Paige, and what a treat to spend that time together in such a fun place. You’re the bees knees. xo

Hello sweet Bff ! Yes, how lucky are we to have been to Creativation together !? I remember talking about it a few years ago and for me, it’s a dream come true. I just feel so blessed everyday to have strong, kind and creative women all around me. Naturally that includes you xo K

There’s a LOT of stitching work done in this piece Kelly – it is beautiful. I am always enchanted with how you layer up and make everything so lush and gorgeous. I use my A4 laminator to flatten out wonky paper – I even considered buying an A3 laminator just to do that with the bigger papers I paint on sometimes. Then decided that was just a crazy idea 🙂

LOL, We do tend to pile on the tools and you CAN have too many. I have a box of We’R Memory Keepers stuff, like the envelope maker, the box maker, the pillow box maker and I never use them anymore because I have the Cameo. I really should edit 😀
Thanks for you lovely message on the stitching. Yoy, it was a bit of an effort but I always love the results. It’s in a frame in my crafty room too enjoy for a while. Some people probably think it’s too much work to stick into an album. But for me, it’s more about enjoying the process. ❤ ❤ ❤ Hope you D, S, O and G are having a fab weekend xox K

We are having a lovely day today especially Kelly, the sun is shining and it’s Sunday and we had a beautiful walk on the high road and now D is giving S a bath while I spend some time on my blog. Oh, and the kitties are snoozing in the sunny courtyard ❤

It’s lovely to have the time to play! Hope you have time to treat yourself too xo ❤ K

I went to Urgent Care this morning for a sinus infection. But I did enjoy sunrise, and we had a beautiful day here!
