Hello sweet friends and Happy (Almost) Valentine’s to you!
Today I’m sharing my Silhouette Design Team layout made with Paige’s pretty Horizon collection. I’m always looking for fun ways to combine Paige’s cut files. Using more than one on a layout, allows even more colour and more pattern and I love that.
Today, I’ve combined Paige’s cut files Swirl Heart and You Are to create my colourful background. Check out the cute and clever phrases, they just make me smile.
I also made a process video this month, so you can have a peek of everything coming together. I’m a newbie at YouTube so please let me know what you think 😀
It’s all about the rainbow colours and Paper 12 was perfect to lay behind the ‘You Are’ cut file. I love all the beautiful colours peeking through phrases like, you are the peanut butter to my jelly and you are the bubbles to my bath. How sweet, right? To paper-back the ‘Swirl Heart’ cut file, I used pretty Paper 3.
I wanted to leave the entire Swirl Heart cut file intact to have a crisp white edge all around the outside. So the sequins around the heart are actually sewn onto a second, slightly bigger, heart I made on my Cameo using the Offset Feature. Then I laid my finished Swirl Heart on top.
All the ephemera is from the Horizon Collection with the exception of some puffy stickers from Paige’s Whimsical Collection. I think they both coordinate so well. I scrapped a couple of our wedding photos from 2001. Oh my, how young we looked, ha! The tiny opening in the centre of the Heart Swirl cut file was perfect for a small message. I’ve used a 2×2 from the mini paper pad.
I finished off my layout with little splashes of white and gold paint, dabs of gold Stickles and a few more sequins from my stash. Hope you enjoyed the process video too.

Thanks so much for coming by, see you soon. Cheers, Kelly xo
This is beautiful but my favorite part is the totally gorgeous picture of you and Mr. B. How lovely you look! ❤

Hi Julia ! Thanks so much for coming by and your lovely message too. So that’s us in 2001 😀 Almost 20 years ago now. The time flew by so fast and while we weren’t spring chickens when we married, we’ve since added a few more wrinkles and grey hairs, LOL. xK

Oh you are dear! Thank you Lavinia. It was a 2nd marriage for me, so we went away, met up with a dear friend and married in a park in Dallas. I remember our Limo driver was so kind. He drove us around the ritzy neighbourhoods in Dallas pointing out where some celebrated families lived 😀 We just picked out a photographer on-line and he also was super nice. If you’re ever in Dallas, the Adolphus Hotel is beautiful.
