Happy scrapping days to you!
Do you create for Heidi Swap’s, Memorydex?
(You know I got all the fun stuff right?!)
I fell in love with the vintage vibe of Memorydex and they’re a great way to do quick, creative cards with bit’s of left over’s from other projects. I’ve had mine for a couple of years now and go through spurts of adding cards. Happily, when the lovely Rachel Lowe agreed to trade 3 cards, I found my Memorydex mojo lit again.
Rachel’s favourite colours are Black, Pink and Mint. I went with, ‘Cute Girl’ by Crate Paper. I still love it and my 6×6 paper pad had all the right colours.
I found Rachel on Instagram and immediately became a big fan. Rachel’s pretty much a scrapbooking star and participates on a number of design teams. Including Clique Kits, Scrap the Boys, Challenge YOUrself, JustNick Studio, GDT 2018 PLS, Wild Whisper, Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Anna’s Craft Cupboard ! Whew right !!!
So here’s what transpired.
Since there’s a front and back to each card, I made 6 designs in total.
My favourite, the stitched card.
Using a simple straight stitch makes it pretty on both sides.
The ‘hello’ card is a made with Washi Tapes of various widths, colours and themes but they all work together because they match the paper. The little camera is a Silhouette cut-file, backed with Cute Girl paper (cut-file ID#69892 by Tanya Batrak).
Once loaded on to the Memorydex Wheel, it’s fun to see the coordinating papers working together. The little pink Volkswagen has the Blue Bird of Happiness cruising through a bed of roses 😀 Beep, beep! Happiness coming through !
Rachel sent me some too, come back for a peak-a-boo of those on my Memorydex soon !!
Thanks so much for trading Rachel ❤ You’re always kind, supportive & inspiring!

These are delightful! What a fun way to craft and trade. They’re kind of an upscale version of trading cards. Who needs a pic of a ball player, when you can have a Kelly Made It original. They’re so special. Oh and I recognize that cat paper! It’s part of Tessa’s album. So, so cute.

Oh geez Tanya, thank you so much and sorry to have not reply sooner. I thought I had, gah! These little index cards make up so much faster than an entire layout. I love tucking in little things I don’t want to throw away sometimes. Like show tickets into an envelope and stamps off mail from friends. It’s a catch all 😀 x K
