Welcome back friends! I was so happy to work with Paige’s, Paw Prints For Stitching cut file, because dear friends of mine are the new pawrents to sweet Maggie, a little black lab. Paige’s, 36 Cut Files For Stitching Bundle, is only $30 for 36 cut files, that’s just .83 cents each! If you just want a few favorites, you can also buy them individually, use this link to shop.
I began by cutting the file from white Cardstock. Then, before I began stitching, I traced a paper heart on to it with pencil. My idea was to stitch all the paws inside the heart with colored floss, and outside the heart, in white. I matched the threads to the colors in Paige’s Garden Shoppe, Paper 2.
The paws were all back-stitched, with six strands of DMC floss.
I topped my stitched background with Paige’s Flower Heart cut file. It’s cut from Paper 2 and glued to an offset, cut from velum. The velum adds some nice sturdiness to the delicate cut file, but doesn’t hide too much stitching. It also nicely hides the 3D foam tape used to pop it up.
I decided my layout needed a frame, so carefully cut ⅛” from all sides and taped it to another sheet of Paper 2. To add some shine, I chain stitched around the frame with gold metallic thread. I think a frame grounds a white background nicely.
To fill out the heart, I added tiny flower and leaf clusters that I printed from the AC Digital Collection. I always get the digital version of Paige’s collections, both to plan my layouts and to have endless ephemera.
Not a fan of digital? You could also fussy cut flowers this size from the 6 x 8 Paper Pad. Also, sprinkled around the heart are buttons, both digital and Epoxy Button Stickers from the collection. The addition of Diamond Glaze on the digital buttons helped them blend in nicely.
My title was made with Alpha Thickers, Phrase Thickers and mini alpha from the 8 Page Sticker Book. I built up two index tags and half of a journal tag, to add prominence below Maggie’s photo tooI hope you’ll try this cut file for your own cherished pet(s)!
It’s day 25 and there’s lots of inspiration on the way!
Pop in tomorrow and follow along at Paige’s Happy Scrappy Place Facebook group.
Thank a bunch sweet Alys. Nadine kindly lets me grab whatever I want on her instagram. I love scrapping for them, they have so many fun adventures. 💗🌸

Looks like I can “like” through the post that comes in email, though historically I can’t do that with everyone’s posts that come via email.

Hi Kelly, it is good to see your creative works!
Note – due to some WP function, I cannot “like” posts or comments right now. I am here and see your posts. We’ll see if they fix that.

Hello lovely, thank you so much for swinging by. I’ve been wondering about WP myself. It used to be so easy. Now it’s complicated with lots of ticks. I hope spring has sprung in your neck of the woods 🌸💛

Things seem to be working more or less since yesterday afternoon, with no real explanation as to what the problem actually was. I sent them plenty of information.
