Hello craft friends! I’m so excited to have Paige Taylor Evans newest paper collection, Garden Shoppe, to scrap with this fall! I know it’s not, but it really feels like it was made just for me 😀
I love the softer shades of pink, yellow, periwinkle and green, lots of whimsical flowers and sweet icons. Did you see how Paige used the stamp set this week to make a coptic book cover?! So cute and inspiring. My layout is for my sweet doggo Buddy. We said goodbye a number of years ago, but I think about him a lot and there’s still tears.
These photos were taken in the garden of our lake house and when I saw the little puppy Cardstock Sticker, the design idea unfolded. I’ve used Paige’s Beach Bag cut file, a free cut file for members of Paige’s Facebook group, Happy Scrappy Place as a garden basket. It sits in a hand stitched garden scene I added with back stitched grass and french knot flower buds. I use all six strands of DMC Floss. The flowers in this collection are like beautiful water coloured blooms brushed on your page by Claude Monet. Did you spy the pink button, hummingbird and Bumblebee? They’re all from the generous Cardstock Sticker sheet.
A pretty wreath from the Layered Stickers hangs from the basket handle
‘Hey cutie Pie’ was cut out of Paper 12. I just love all the cute phrases made to look like they’re on a letter board! I papered the basket cut file with fringed Paper 9 to add lots of texture.
From my garden basket, dozens of colourful butterflies fly up to the sky. Only one has white wings, that’s my angel Buddy. I used Paige’s Butterfly Cluster #252982 cut file but had my Cameo draw them with a pencil, then made the holes for stitching.
Finally, I added a bit of journaling under my basket, a little message for Bud, “summer flowers fade but never my love for you ! “
Thanks so much for coming by!
Hope you found an idea or two for your own creations.
I wish I had met sweet Buddy. I know how much you miss him. Your concept for this layout has so much charm and whimsy, along with love and remembrance. Sending you an extra dollop of love. xo

hello sweet friend, I sure wish you could’ve met Bud too. The love would be mutual, he loved everyone. He didn’t have a tail, we didn’t know why, but his little stump still wagged at everyone. Thank you so much for your message, I wish I had more photos but I’m ok with scrapping these over and over again, just to enjoy the memories ❤️ xk

Hello dear Boomdee. You’ve been on my mind a lot lately. I will send a note. We took so few pictures in the day when we had to buy film, send it in to be developed, etc. etc. These days we can take 100 pics a day with our phone. It’s another lifetime. I’m glad you have happy memories. xo
