Kelly Made It for Paige Taylor Evans with Bungalow Lane

Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing my newest layout for Paige Taylor Evans. I’ve used Paige’s gorgeous Bungalow Lane to  make my layout with my Grandparents wedding photo, John and Anne.

I began by stenciling the background with white molding paste and the Doily Stencil by Paige Evans. Then, using a soft brush, and Distress Oxides, I added some very light colour overtop. If you weren’t able to get this stencil while it was available, you can cut one out of scrap cardstock with Paige’s Doily Cut File. Resize it to 6″ x 6″.

The cut file behind the photo and flowers is called Scribble Heart and available at either Pages by Paige and The Silhouette Design Store. I cut it out of Paper 4

Then, using 3M Spray Glue, I attached an offset of the cut file I made from Vellum in the Silhouette Design Studio. This added the extra structure I wanted to embellish with flowers on top.

I wanted a bouquet of various flowers in several shapes, sizes and colours. Paige has so many to choose from, including this awesome group of 10 rolled flowers in a Bundle.   Here are Paige’s flower cut files I’ve used on my project:

The Embossed Puffy Stickers made pretty and whimsical flower centers. I also added some around the layout along with Chipboard butterflies  and a tiny peach heart from the Layered Stickers set. Don’t you love the gold foil accents!  The generous 8 Page Sticker Book has many to choose from. I tucked in a couple of the gold twigs for a little extra sparkle.

My photo is matted with the super pretty gold Foiled Floral Transparency. I drew the colours for all the flowers from it.  I love when you can repeat an element using different things in the collection, in this case gold accents.

Did you notice the scalloped background paper?

I cut a sheet of white AC Cardstock on my Cameo Silhouette 3 using a cut file I designed and offer to you free for personal use.  Use this Link to download it.  If you’d like the SVG, drop me an email at Kellymadeit.wordpress@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to send it along.  I thought the chain stitching looked pretty all around, like icing on a cake.

Hope you found an idea or two here for your own pretty projects!

See you again soon ! Hugs, Kelly 💗

  1. As always, I am gobsmacked by your extraordinary creativity. This is such a lovely collection of paper, flowers, textures and floss. You make it all look easy-breezy but I know its not. I wish you lived down the street from me for so many reasons. I feel the urge to visit the BoomRoom and sit a spell, to laugh with my BFF. xo

    1. hey hi hello honey 🥰 You are a doll ! Thank you for your fab message. Wouldn’t that be something if you lived down the street !! You’d be freezing but it’d sure be fun 😁 Would be better if I could live down the street from you. I’d be so much poorer, but again, it’d sure be fun. We could jet off to Jo-Anne’s or the Island and snag the latest/greatest must haves, stop for a bagel lunch on the way back, eat that in your garden and watch the hummers. Then craft the day away too. Maybe I’d even have a garden of sorts, although I’d probably have to garden at night since the heat bags me out, LOL. We could definitely put it on the schedule and see what happens 💗💗 Mwah ! xK

  2. A heartwarming tribute to your Grand Parents on their special day. The heart shape is perfect for the occasion and I love that you used the vellum layer as well. Flowers are always a good idea on a page, especially for a wedding and yours are too divine. I especially love the peach ones. So many tiny details to unpack and drool over. This is glorious.

    1. Hi Helen ! You’re awesome for coming by and leaving me a fab message ! Thanks so so much 💗🥰 The flowers are always fun to plan and make with a Cameo because they can be any size you need. I quite like that about the Cameo. Paige’s layered flowers are so versatile too. You normal get 5 layers, so you can make them from all the same paper or 2 or even 3 different papers. I have a super hard time deciding so I made them both ways, ha! Do you follow Amber Mitchell or @Bambidearr at Instagram? She’s a super-star mini maker, also designing for Paige, and often covers her mini’s in Paige’s Floral cut files. Just scrumptious !! 💗🥰 xk
