Hello again crafty friends, welcome to Day 5, and Paige’s Jingle Bells Music cut file. This cut file is exclusive to the Christmas Bundle and not sold anywhere else!
Why two? Well, it’s a big beautiful world and we don’t all go dashing through the snow at Christmas. Our friends down south are celebrating Christmas over their summer holidays! So naturally, I wanted to do a layout for them too.
I wanted to share a couple of tips for cutting this very intricate cut file so that you can enjoy it and get a great cut the first time. Truth is, I cut it three times 😀 before I got my Cameo 3 on board.
Here’s what I did for success!
- Cut on the smooth side of your cardstock
- Set the Force to 30 but turn the Speed down to 1
- I used a new Ratchet Blade on a fairly new mat on a Cameo 3
- Turn on the Cross Cut (the blade lifts and changes directions, instead of staying on the paper)
- Set it to 2 Passes (each cut will be made twice)
My last tip is optional and meant for those who have a well loved Cameo 3. Use your blade in the 2nd Cartridge. It gets way less use and holds the blade much tighter. So when the Cross Cut is bouncing the blade up and down, it stays nice and tight for even, clean cuts.
Let the fun begin!
For the traditional layout, I used pink Paper 16 from Scenic Route and the Jingle Bells Music cut file was made with Red AC Cardstock
The ephemera is layered around the pink chipboard frames from Scenic Route, I just cut my photos in an oval to cover the phrase. That’s my Elf Jingles, how perfect is this cut file? I stitched leaves from Bungalow Lane with gold thread and added the gold leaf stickers, also from Bungalow Lane.
The gilded oval between my photo frames (with Santa on it) is from Paige’s Pick Me Up collection and you can still order it here. Amazing right? There’s only 2 left so go, go, go!
The Christmas ephemera is from my stash. There’s both Pebbles, Merry Little Christmas and Crate Paper, Snowflake. Both have super cute elements and you can still get the entire collections from AC Digitals.
I also used Paige’s Star Stencil with Gold Glitter Paste to add sparkle beneath my photo vignette. The stencil has sold out but you could totally make one using her Star Confetti cut file and some cardstock. Cut it out at 6 x 6 inches.
Did you notice I added gilded musical notes? I used Paige’s Musical Notes cut file. I released the compound path in the Silhouette Design Studio and used just the inside pieces.
For my tropical layout, I used a white background that I lightly splattered with all the colours in the layout. Paige’s Jingle Bells cut file was made with a bright pink AC Cardstock. All the ephemera is from Paige’s Truly Grateful Collection, available at AC Digitals.
I had so much fun designing a tropical page and went with flowers, butterflies and even a bird! The photos are of Christmas in my Fairy Garden. Alyster, my Gnome, lives in a tropical forest and always sets up a Christmas tree 😀
Good luck with your own beautiful projects! I hope these tips will be helpful.

Hello Alyster! It’s been awhile. I hope you are keeping cozy and enjoying your sweet little tree. My traveling gnome says hello. He’s bored staying home, and desperate for some Covid-free travel.
Kelly, I adore your tropical version of this cut file. You have a unique take on this and I love it.
I had to laugh at your intricate directions, because its the first thing I thought of when I saw the tiny cut file. I would have tossed my Cameo out the window by now. LOL. You are as busy as a bee in June, my dear.

Hello hello Calibestie! Thanks so much for your message! Yep, Alyster is still hanging out, riding around the garden on his red Vespa! I’m a bit envious. It’s so nice and green there all season long.
Funny, I actually found a Ladybug on the window sill in my craft room today. She was just walking by 🤓 So I said hello and let her climb on my hand. We then walked down to the fairy garden. I thought she might be happier in there. I hope she’ll be ok.
LOL! I can envision the Cameo Toss 😁 Trust me, there’s been moments with mine too. But what electronic equipment is 100% reliable? I always want everyone to enjoy Paige’s files and with a little finessing of the settings, Bob’s your uncle. 💗🎄🌸💛

Finding a ladybug in your craft rooms sounds magical. I hope you ran out and bought a lottery ticket. I can picture your gentle hands relocating her to your garden.
I’m glad I got to meet Paige in Arizona and how bizarre it is to think now that COVID was lurking as we rubbed elbows with strangers. We were fortunate. Paige’s cut files are gorgeous, and your skills bring out the best in all of them. xo

Yes!! How lucky to get that visit in just under the Covid wire. Nerds on this ongoing plague. I’ve found new ways to continue to do fun things though. Like joining Paige’s virtual classes, being an on-line shopper (LOL, far too often) and FB video hook-ups. Even though I’ve had to limit my outings, I can still meet up with a couple of friends I’ve known forever and trust that they are staying as safe as I want to. So yep, new ways for new days.
I’m so glad we could go to Creativation together too! I remember talking about it some years ago, “wouldn’t that be amazing” we said. Then, to meet Paige, who you know, I’ve admired forever and feel so flippin’ blessed to be on her team, well….holy cannoli, dreams DO come true!! I am a believer 💗💗xx

“New ways for new days.” I like that!
I’m so glad I could join you for Creativation. There was so much to see and absorb. I also had fun sitting in the big chair in the outside bar, laughing at everything and nothing as we always do, and I delighted in your in-person meeting with Paige. That sort of thing doesn’t happen very often in life. It was a pleasure to witness it, and it seems all the more poignant now.

Hello sweet island Princess 💗 Thank you so much for your visit and message! It makes it worthwhile when someone replies that the tips will be helpful.
I was a little nervous when my Cameo made awful cuts the first two tries, so I thought I’d share what worked because gads, that can be a frustration.
Hope your summer is fun-tastic! We need to catch up soon 💗💗💗
