Paige Taylor Evans 25 Days of Christmas Cut Files – Wreath

Hello friends, welcome to Day 3, and Paige’s Wreath cut file.

When I first got my Cameo, the most challenging thing for me was figuring out the cut settings for success. I still have a Cameo 3 and this is the setting that perfectly cut the Wreath on my machine.

I’m using white AC Precision Cardstock, which is my favourite. At 80lbs, it cuts easily and cleanly on my Cameo 3. I cut it with the smooth side facing me, my Rotary Blade set to 3, Speed 2 (I always slow it down for an intricate cut), 2 Passes and the Cross Cut feature checked. What the Cross Cut feature does is, lifts the blade to change direction, then brings it back down. Very helpful on intricate cuts with small pieces.

Here’s a short Cameo Tutorial at my YouTube Channel to show how it’s all done!

As you saw in my video, I made an offset of the wreath on my Cameo and cut it from the pretty green Paper 22 from Paige’s Truly Grateful collection.

I wanted lots of bright colours to paper-back the entire wreath.  Two pretty pinks, mauve, light green, aqua and yellow were pulled from Paige’s Horizon and Go The Scenic Route collections. You can find them both at AC Digitals?

I traced the centre circle from the cut file onto my photo and a piece of clear acrylic. I temporarily clipped them together to punch holes for stitching and chain stitched together with 6 strands of DMC floss.  The acrylic allowed me to move around the letters from Paige’s Wonders collection without ruining or making marks on my photo.

The colourful border on my background is pretty yellow striped Paper 8 from Paige’s Go The Scenic Route collection.  Here’s how my white background looks after making holes all around with my Cameo. It’s subtle, but an effect way to add just just a wee bit more interest.

Each layer of the wreath is popped up with foam tape and finally, I cut Paige’s, perfect Holiday Bow Cut File and paper-backed it with Go The Scenic Route.

  1. Magnificent Kelly! I adore your colour choices and the Cameo instructions are super helpful. I especially like the little holes to form a border. Thanks for the instructions.

    1. Hi Wallace, thanks so much for your fabulous message! I’m so glad you found the Cameo video helpful. Yes, the tiny holes, an easy alternative to maybe stitching. Just a tiny detail but can add interest to your design 🎄🎅♥️
