Hello friends. What a long haul this pandemic has been. But this week is a personal celebration of sorts. I’ve double downed on vaccines and waited 14 days to be entirely huggable.
I designed today’s card with a cute cut file by Paige Evans, Cactus In Teacup. Which makes my title, ‘Hug Me’ a bit cheeky. A side effect of 16 months of isolation perhaps. I really missed hugs!
Since this is a stash busting project, look through your stash for the perfect alpha’s to make a title. Another title I considered was, ‘Free Hugs’ and designed a layered tag that would look like a tag on a tea bag. I decided not to use it but left it in the cut file for you to decide.
Here’s a little tip for scrap busting. I had this piece of paper that was aqua, pink and white and thought it’d be perfect for the base of my card if it had a bit of yellow too. So I added yellow stripes with a yellow marker and voilá, problem solved. The handle of the teacup is the perfect place to add a charm or two.
I love the look of bits poppin out of the box.
Silhouette owners can download the file here. This is what it looks like when you open it in Silhouette Studio, ungroup it and away you go. The light blue item is for those who wish to do stitching. Once you’ve paper backed the cut file, you can cut this out to back your finished cut file to reinforce it for stitching.
If you need to work with an SVG, please send an email to Kellymadeit.wordpress@gmail.com and I’ll get them off to you. Please let me know if you want the entire collection or just this card. The SVG’s are already ungrouped and you’ll get everything in two files.
Let me know if you any questions in comments below!
Thanks so much for being here! Please tag me if you give it a go.
Cheers, Kelly 🌸💛
Thanks, lovely!

Thanks again sweetness. I’ve already got a couple of big hugs in with my Urban girls at an art class with Lynette. It was her first one since the pandemic started and it’s so nice to be back. We still are careful in public with masks and distancing, but knowing these gals as I do, I know they also take every precaution. HUG POWER! It’s really an elixir of life 💛💛 xo K
