Hi Friends, welcome to Card #3 – Peace. This might be my favourite so far.
I’ve popped my new card in front because I love seeing the others peeking out from behind.
I’m still working with pretty Hey Hello by Jen Hadfield for Pebbles Inc. I mentioned before, this began as a stash busting project and I’ve pulled out all kinds of pretty papers to add to the mix. Do you recognize any of these from your own stash?
For Silhouette owners, click here to download the Studio3 file.
The Studio3 cut file will download in a ZIP Folder. Double click the folder and the cut file will pop out. Drag the Studio3 cut file on to the mat in the Silhouette Design Studio. Begin by ungrouping the peace sign to separate it from the flower backing pieces. Away you go!
If you don’t have a Silhouette and want to work with an SVG, please send an email to Kellymadeit.wordpress@gmail.com. Unfortunately the file type, SVG, isn’t able to be added to my WordPress website. If you want to do the entire project, I’ll continue to send you the SVG each week, for each new card. You only need to contact me once!
This week is a shaker card. As you know, I love adding stitching.
There are two pieces to back the pink roses and three pieces to back the yellow rose. This helps give them a bit of a layered look.
My Silhouette Cut Settings
I was using a fairly new Ratchet Blade in my Cameo 3. The floral spray in the peace sign is quite delicate and I’d recommend turning the speed down to 1 (purple arrow) and turning the Cross Cut feature on (pink arrow).
This week, I’ve made a YouTube process video so you can see how it comes together!
It’s been a lot of fun seeing your own cards and Memorydex Box projects on Instagram, remember to tag me @kellymadeit. If you have any questions at all, you can leave a comment below, email me or DM me on Instagram.
Is this your first visit and you use a Silhouette, click here to grab the previous cut files for this project.
As always, I truly treasure your visits!
Cheers, Kelly 🌸💛
Peace out, man. And now I’m blowing kisses to the hedgehog. Mike won’t mind.
I like the way the sequins mesh with the heart-patterned paper behind them. That is such a clever idea. I’m going to dream of peace, Boomdee style, as I drift off to sleep. Night night. xo

Thanks so much Marlene. To quote president Obama, “it’s what I do” 😃 LOL. Hope you’re doing well and staying out of trouble ! We’re going to have some hot days here this week, but of course it’s cool in my craft room. (snicker) Hugs, K 💛

We are going to be unseasonably HOT until the end of July. We have never had these kinds of summer temps. My sewing room gets quite warm but I’ll be in there anyway with AC cranking away. I get up at dawn and do outside chores. Staying out of trouble??? Not in this lifetime. Maybe I’ll post a little this afternoon. 🙂 Miss you. Giant squishy hugs.M
