Hi friends, thanks for popping in. I wanted to share the stencil I made to create the background on my Star layout made for Paige Taylor Evans.
It’s day 21 of 25 Days of Christmas Cut Files and today is a gorgeous star. You can buy the bundle at this link. I’ve backed it with happy and bright Horizon collection. This is what my backing pieces looked like. I made them by releasing the compound path on the cut file then using the outline only, I made sequential Internal Offsets.
Here’s the simple stencil I designed in Silhouette Studio to create the background of my layout. Click here to download a free .studio3 file or easily make one yourself.
I stenciled white AC Cardstock with five Distress Inks. Each time I changed colours, I rotated the stencil 45 degrees. The transparent inks create even more colours when they overlap. For example, yellow, green and pink
Check out my video for how to make the stitching holes in Silhouette Studio.
Once my background was stenciled and the radiating circles hand stitched, I embellished with floral ephemera from Go The Scenic Route and bits from other Paige Taylor Evans collections.
Counting down to Christmas, only 4 more sleeps! Who’s excited?
Let me know in comments below, if you have any questions
Cheers, Kelly

Hey there Alys. Thank you for spoiling me with nice compliments 😃 I’m more like the ‘Jack of all trades’ I would say. I like to dabble in a bit of everything. Most often, I look at a product in my craft room and think, “I haven’t used these for a while, what can I do with them?” Cheers dear xK

Thanks so very much Derrick. Wishing you and Jackie have a brilliant Christmas. I guess we’ll all have to stay home, which really, is that a bad thing? 😘xK

Hello hello lovely 🥰 Thanks so much for watching my YouTube hon and awesome compliment too. I’m always learning. You know when you do things often it seems rather routine. But I’m glad for others, still just learning their Cameo’s, can try something new.
Wishing you happy, healthy and calm days through Christmas and until we can get this Covid thing sorted out. I’d imagine, you’re high on the list for vaccine. I can’t wait till we can all hook up and hug it out. Cheers dear one xo K
