Season’s Greetings friends and happy crafting days are wished for you. Thank you so much for shopping at Treasured Memories. I hope you’ll enjoy the December Kit!
I’ve designed eight inspiration layouts with lots of sparkle and shine (I bet you’re not surprised,ha). Have any questions? Leave me a comment below, I’m always happy to help. Cheers and Holiday Hugs, Kelly ❤
Dashing Home For The Holidays
Use white and mint cardstock to create a background. Cut gentle waves from the white to emulate snow drifts. The edges are distressed and sewn on a machine. I taped them onto a 12×12 mint cardstock. Leave the centre’s open so you can tuck in photos later.
Fussy cut houses and trees from paper in the kit. I used Tim Holtz Splatter Stencil with Light Texture Paste to make the falling snow. The cute Slug Bug cut file is courtesy of sweet Paige Taylor Evans (thank you so much Paige). Did you know I’m on her Silhouette Design Team? Come by her Blog for inspiration and creative fun!!
Use paper in the kit to fill the Slug Bug as desired. There’s gold metallic paper for the hubcaps and textured vellum to fill the windows in your kit. I made a little car antenna with ‘Holly Jolly’ snipped out of the branding strip. Add a few sequins and you’re done.
Be Merry
Glue the white word Peace in your kit behind the cut file. Paper the tree stand as desired. Paper the tree star with Gold glitter paper in your kit. Stencil gold texture paste on the left side of the background. Make a tag to tuck in behind the photo. Add washi tape and bakers twine to the bottom edge (both in your kit.) Cut a couple of strips of paper diagonally as shown and tape just about the bakers twine. Embellish as desired
HO HO HO
Cut short strips of paper and roll over a small bottle or round brush handle, then staple tops together. Set aside. Texture paste a pink cardstock with a star stencil and once dry, arrange the paper rolls on top as shown. Embellish as desired.
Joy
Cut a piece of white cardstock into 10.5″ square. Run a band of 1/4″ Scoretape around the edge and sprinkle with glitter. Frame it with red cardstock. Use your favourite stencil and white texture paste to add texture to the background if desired. The Joy cut file, stars and photo frames are in your kit. Add white ribbon from the kit around the frames.
Thankful For You
This background is created by cutting 2×2 inch squares from paper in the kit, then cutting each square into a triangle and arranging them into a 10×10 grid in the centre of white cardstock as shown. Use a border punch to make 4 red strips to frame your grid. If desired, add Score tape around the grid to add gold glitter from the kit. The doilies are also in your kit.
The Most Wonderful Time
You will find a template for the chevron in the same clear envelope as the title. Trace it 16 times on to your choice of pattern paper and arrange on white cardstock as shown. Use a ruler to draw a 1/4″ border around your chevron pattern and cut with scissors. On your background (I used mint cardstock with a red border) add glitter paste through your favourite stencil. Add die cut title, ephemera and sequins from the kit. If desired, chain stitch around your layout to make it extra special. See how on my YouTube video.
We Believe
This mixed media layout is a pretty mix of Prima Opal Magic Paints and embellishments from your kit. It has a dedicated post at Kelly Made It . Use the link for a quick and easy tutorial on how you can make this pretty background.
Holly-tastic
Background: trim a white cardstock to measure 10″x12″. From the striped paper, trim two strips that are 1.25×12 and tape to the back of each side of the layout. Add .25″ Scoretape down each side as shown and add gold glitter from the kit.
My stitched Holly-tastic Cut File is available for free. You’ll find it here. If you don’t have a Cameo you can grab the template there too.
Chain stitch if desired. My YouTube video shows you how. Add the leaping stag from the kit over the berries. Lightly splatter the background with green and mint paint if desired. Add sequins from the kit.
Cheers from Kelly !
Boy have you been busy. I know this is a labor of love, but it must have also been a lot of work. I’m sure your designs will sell plenty of kits. Funny thing, but when I saw all the red paper I thought “that can’t be Boomdee” but of course when you’re designing for the store, you use the products assigned. You put stitching to use in such creative ways. It really adds a nice, textured dimension.

Hello lovely BFF ! ❤ Thank you, thank you. It truly was a labour of love. I had a month, but I still found myself staying up pretty late the last week, glueing and sewing and fussing. Ha! I think I must have been running on pure caffeine the last 3 days 😀 But, I got it all done, documented and delivered on time, so…High-5 !! The kit is pre-sold and I hope they have some fun creative moments this month and maybe even try a new technique or two. Countdown to our hugs in Phoenix! xo K

Aw, lovely message my friend, thanks so much. It’s all hands on deck for retailers this holiday season. We work our crafty fingers to the bone to wow and delight our loyal customers. I wonder what little Jimmi will think of the tree (if you plan on one). My yo-yo’s are busy investigating ours, that has yet to be decorated. I think they are wondering why it tastes so bland 😀 xK
