When we married in 2001, I thought, “We’re going to be so old when we celebrate 25 years”. LOL, well here we are celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary in NYC last April. Helping me celebrate is Paige’s new, bright and beautiful collection,  Adventurous and Cityscape cut file.

First thing I noticed arriving in NYC, is all the tall buildings, so this cut file was perfect! I’ve used Adventurous Paper 20 and Paper 24 to cut out the Cityscapes. Then, glued them to an offset created in the Silhouette Studio cut from white cardstock. I made holes with a straight pin. Then using 4 strands of DMC floss, I stitched every window and all around the edge with a combination of the chain stitch and straight stitch.

Above my NY cityscape is a pretty vignette of; Floral Ephemera, Cardstock Stickers, Enamel Dots and a Mini Puffy Hot Air Balloon. The butterfly on the right is a Rub-On. I was really happy to see them back as part of Paige’s collection.

All three photos are placed in Chipboard frames. Did you notice the blue Washi Tape decorating one of the frames? The lower photos are surrounded by Mini Puffy Stickers, a Butterfly, a Rub-On and a Cardstock stamp (it even says NYC !). I also glued on some tiny gold metallic stars from the Sequins Pack and more Enamel Dots. I adore using all the fun little things.

Look, there’s Jim hailing a big yellow NYC taxi while I wait in the shade of my lovely umbrella, ha! All made with cute Mini Puffy Stickers. I used the Mini Thickers and the gold Cardstock frame to add a photo taken from the balcony at our hotel. Under the taxi, a cheerful tulip garden made with Floral Ephemera . My title, ‘Getaway’ is from the Chipboard Ephemera pack. Finally, I added a Metal Embellishment Charm under the tulip garden.
