Merry Pinkmas with Sugarplum Wishes for Paige Taylor Evans

Hi friends! If you’ve followed me for a while, you must know how much I love pink, but did you know our Christmas tree is also pink?

Of course I’m using Paige’s Sugarplum Wishes. Honestly, it’s my most favourite Christmas collection ever. I love the mint and pink mixed with lime and cherry red! It’s totally yummy! My idea was to create a pink Christmas tree like the one we put up at home. .

I cut out Paige’s Christmas Tree Branches file out of pink cardstock, three times, so I could make a 3D tree.

 All are 9 inches tall, then 7.5, 5.5 and 3.5 inches wide. The middle cut file is vellum and the other two are cut from pink cardstock. Each tree was creased down the middle, then stacked and glued together.

To decorate my pink dimensional tree, I fussy cut lots of ornaments from Paper 10 and glued them to all the layers. The vellum layer lets you see through to the ornaments on the bottom layer. Once decorated, I popped up my tree with 3D Foam Tape in the center of Paper 5. Then, I cut a circle out of Paper 1, trimmed off ½” from 2 sides and centred it on top to frame my tree. To add even more texture, I chain stitched around the frame with all 6 strands of DMC variegated thread #4502 .

 

The cute, fun and festive embellishments are all from Sugarplum Wishes. Cardstock Stickers, Foam Stickers, Mini Puffy Stickers and a tag with the year surround my photos. The title, Merry Pinkmas, was added just inside the frame, using the Mini Puffy Alpha. I just love the sweet mix of patterns and colors on them.
