“What’s the Buzz? Shadow Box With Blooming Wild

Hi friends, welcome back!  I’m leaping off the page today with fun Shadow Box for my craft room. I’ve used Paige’s beautiful Blooming Wild collection and the 19 Days of Spring Cut Files Bundle.  It’s like scrapping, times four. You get to decorate inside and outside, including the front, back, top and sides!

The box is made with thin chipboard and measures 11” square x 1″ deep. That allows for a half inch of paper, around all sides, to wrap the box. I’ve used the same technique as my Memory-box project and you can watch that video here.  This box was made with an acetate cover, which allowed me to add Bumble Bees and a title to look like they’re floating over a garden.

I used the ‘Folk Flowers’ cut file from Paige’s, 19 Days of Spring Cut Files Bundle.

Once the cut file was paper-backed, I popped it up with two layers of 3d Foam tape inside the box. I’ve used a 12″ x  12″ sheet of clear acetate to make a cover for the box. My title, made with the Alphabet Thickers in this collection, is sitting on the rainbow heart ephemera and taped to the top of the acetate cover.  Pop into my gallery at Scrapbook dot com for links to all the Blooming Wild products I used.

I decided to add a handle, so I could hang some tassels near the top. It’s attached with two small brads

On the back, I made a small floral vignette and used mini puffy alphas to show the year.

I’m always excited to see Bumblebees in my home garden, they just make me happy!  Here, they’re buzzing around and hovering over the colourful flowers.

It was fun imagining, then creating, my garden in a box. I hope it’ll give you the notion to, ‘jump off the page’ and try something new in your own craft room!

See you again soon! 🌸K

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room. I love working with paper to make cards, layouts and Mini Albums. So happy you came by💛

    1. Thanks so so much Lavinia 💛 Just thought I’d try something different. I love Bumble Bees too. I’ve barely seen any so far this year, but we’ve had lots of smokey days and I haven’t been out too much. Today is beautiful though, so finally, sunshine and hopefully Bumble Bee’s 💛🌸
