Hello, Hello !
Hooray, we’ve made it through April. Hopefully we’ll be seeing some happy turnaround’s in our communities really soon. Today, I’m sharing cards I designed with a turnaround of sorts in mind.
From left to right: Circles Doily #216843 with Paper 3, Flower #280019 with Paper 14 and Globe #268656 with Paper 23. I resized the cut files to fit my card design. The finished cards measures 6”x6”.
You can download the card base for free here on my blog. I added sequins to each card with a simple chain stitched. I made the stitching holes to my cut file in Silhouette Studio. There’s a YouTube video at my channel that shows you how! Here’s a peek at all three cards. Do you have a favourite?
The tab attached to each butterfly is made from Bloom Street Washi Tape and allows you to pull the butterfly around the card.
The globe card was decorated with a pretty little sticker from the Cardstock Sticker Book. The other two cards have iridescent greetings from the Cardstock Stickers. Just dust the back of any sticker with baby powder to change it from a sticker to something you can pop up with foam dots.
Here’s a little tip: when you minimize a cut file by this much, the lines tend to get quite thin. I used the Offset Tool in Silhouette Studio to make the lines thicker. Simply offset the original cut file by 0.100, then drag away the original to leave the offset on the mat. Ta-da, the lines are left thicker. You can watch me make a fourth card at my YouTube channel but here’s a little preview:
Paige has so many brilliant cut files to choose from to complete the card. Shop either at the Silhouette Design Store or Page by Paige on Etsy. Naturally, something round works best with the card base. Follow the team at the Paige Taylor Evans Blog for lots of beautiful and clever inspirations!
Until next time, stay well dears !
