Kelly Made It – With Crate Paper’s new Carousel

Did you know, I am maddly in love with Crate Paper?

I can barely wait for each new collection and buy more than I need because I never want to run out.  I’m certain Crate Paper and the lovely Maggie Holmes are making it just for me!

Don’t you know, I bought it all ! I’ve made my first layout with a few of my favourites! I photographed this beautiful vintage Carousel when Mr B and I visited Paris last summer. The photo’s were so perfect for the paper.

I also decided to fashion a heart from some of the UPC strips. They’re the strip on the bottom of the Designer paper we trim off.

I made a paper heart and taped on all my strips. Once trimmed, I used my craft pick to make the holes for hand stitching.  Isn’t it pretty?!

To balance my hand sewn heart, I also fashioned a small shaker box using a frame from the tag sheet and one of my photo’s.

I layered my other photo with Designer paper, glitter paper a chipboard frame from the collection.  The sparkling star is also from the chipboard collection. Don’t forget to pile on the thread for more pizzaz!

Paris ❤ Paris ❤ Paris

The title was stamped with Oxide Inks and Tim Holtz Foam Stamps.  Tracing each letter with a brush tipped Faber Castell PITT pen in soft black added more definition.

Want more texture on your layouts?  Think about colourful splatter, sequins and stitching. It’s a little bit nostalgic and the fresh colours pop when layered all together!

Ps. Thank you Mr B for our romantic Paris Holiday! Smooch!
