New Happy Haven by Paige Evans

Hello friends. I’m working in my scrapbook room again, this time with a new collection by my favourite designer, Paige Taylor Evans called Happy Haven.

I decided to go with a grid design that I created with paper I embossed and cut into frames. Three frames feature Happy Haven ephemera and three feature spring photos from the street we live on. I just love the blooming trees on our street! How I created texture on this layout:
  1. Made a border that included a torn edge paper.
  2. Used a border punch with white cardstock, and tucked it into the layers.
  3. Used my sewing machine to create an edge on the left.
  4. Embossed white cardstock to add more detail to the frames.
  5. Die cut frames with a textured, square die.
  6. I sewed on some washi tape to the photo frames with a zig zag stitch
  7. Added more torn, patterned paper as a mat to three frames.
  8. Built collages with the Happy Haven Ephemera, turning up the edges of the flowers and leaves.

What do you add to your own pretty layouts to create texture? Oh hey, here’s a peek at another layout I did with Happy Haven!

Cheers dears! xK
