Spring 2001 Layout For Paige Taylor Evans

Hello scrappy friends! This April, Jim and I will celebrate 24 years of marriage. We were married in a garden filled with lots of spring flowers.

Including: tulips, daffodils, wisteria and cherry blossoms. Of course, on my layout, I wanted to have lots of flowers too. I’ve used these pretty Paige Evans layered flower cut files: yellow flowers, pink flowers, blue flowers, and purple flowers. I thought the tandem bicycle was a nice nod to the two of us. It was all built up on Paige’s Chevron Background. I’ve used classic Bloom Street through-out because the colours remind me so much of spring and Easter.

I doubled up the layers of the Chevron Background to give it more of a presence, then paper-backed it, then added an offset in soft pink just to help it stand off the white background, and then popped it up on 3d foam tape. Sounds like a lot of steps, but I like to make a big effort on the background. It really sets the stage for all the pretty things. Search with these key-words at the Silhouette Design Store: ‘Paige Background’, to find the perfect one for your crafty creation. The bicycle is also made with two layers of White AC Cardstock, but each was separated with foam strips. I love how it looks more 3d.

Thanks so much for coming by 🩵
