Hey hi friends! Wishing you a sweet Happy Valentine’s and sharing my Design Team layout for Paige Evans today.
For a pretty background, I tore the bottom off the striped paper and added the floral paper. I love mixing patterns like this. It’s a bit more interesting than all stripes or all flowers, don’t you think?

This is me and my brothers last summer. I told them, “I’ll be a rose between the thorns”, and we all laughed. I’ve used Paige’s Flower Heart cut file and a combination of her classic Bloom Street and Horizon collections. Paige also has these Cut File Bundles in her shop dedicated to love themed cut files, 12 Love Cut Files and 14 Valentine’s Cut Files.

To begin, I made a circle frame in the Silhouette Design Studio and cropped out the centre of the Flower Heart cut file. This way, I didn’t have to paper-back the entire cut file. That saved time for lots of embellishing. Next, using Gold Metallic DMC Thread, I chain stitched sequins around the photo. I’m quite certain the bro’s love sparkly things too, ha!

The title was actually made with a set of Phrase Thickers from Paige’s Wonders collection. I don’t mind breaking up the phrases to get the perfect coloured alphabet for my project. That’s why I always get two packs. I popped them up on a multi-layered frame, made of paper, so they would stand off the background.

I surrounded the flowered heart with more pretty flowers, butterflies and a little tag that says, me and you.

Bending up the flower petals and adding lots of layers with 3D foam tape makes your layout come alive. I always have lots on hand!

The small print: I don’t earn commission on any products here. The links are for your convenience only.
That is a beautiful design, and I love the photo of you and your brothers. Kelly.

Thanks so much for your big visit Lavinia. The boys, they’re so good to me. I was able to pin them down at my great-nieces 1st Birthday last summer. Here mom made a photo arch! Why don’t guys like their picture taken? LOL
