Hi hi friends 🧡. Have you had your fill of candy yet? I hope you got some awesome photos to scrap!

I’ve scrapped a photo from Halloween 2000, when Jim and I were Carrie and her Prom date from the 1976 horror film of the same name, lol ! We were quite the gruesome twosome 😁 My layout features Paige’s, super cute Tricks & Treats collection, and her Monsters cut file. Get it in this Halloween Bundle with 12 other fangtastic cut files.

You can learn this chevron background technique with Paige at her, ‘Polaroid Frames and Chevrons Virtual Class. After arranging my chevrons vertically, I chain stitched the edges with Variegated DMC Floss, using all 6 strands.
I’m always keen to see the mix of colours transpire as I stitch. I ran my title along the left edge of the chevrons, using a sticker, and a couple of Phrase Thickers.

I mounted my photo on a large tag from the Journaling Ephemera pack. Then added a pretty eyelet, a reinforcement I punched from scrap, some Tricks & Treats Washi Tape and some bakers twine from my stash. Now, an old photo has become a fun focal point.

A triangle of ephemera clusters is always my goal. A well known technique that helps to take your eye around a layout. I tucked-in, layered and popped up; Floral Ephemera, Mini Puffy Stickers, Journaling Ephemera, Icon Ephemera, Foam Stickers, Cardstock, and Enamel Dots.

I just keep playing with all-the-pretty-things until I’m happy with the look. My sneaky little monsters found places to hide within the clusters.
How many trick and treaters came to your door Halloween night?

I love the old photo of you and Jim!
