Wonder-FALL Layout for Paige Taylor Evans

Hi again friends! We are really blessed to be having a beautiful fall this year in Edmonton! The gorgeous colour starts right at my front door.

I’m celebrating with my ‘Wonder-Fall’ layout using three of Paige’s pretty collections, Garden Shoppe, Splendid and Blooming Wild. I’ve focused on yellow, pink, orange and green elements only.  Limiting your colour-way makes it easier to combine collection.

After paper-backing  Paige’s Pumpkins cut file, I back-stitched with coordinating DMC Floss, using all six strands for lots of definition. To make the pretty background, I’ve used two of the Splendid Lace Envelopes. One as a stencil, and one to add a pretty texture behind my photo.  Carved Pumpkin, Kitsch Flamingo and Fossilized Amber Oxide Inks were blended with a soft touch. I used white AC Cardstock for both the cut file and background.

All the flowers and leaves are Splendid Floral Ephemera. If you don’t have them in your stash, pick up the AC Digital Collection and make as many as you need. The quilted heart tucked into the right side of the floral border is from the Blooming Wild Sticker Book and a good example of how easy it is to mix Paige’s collections. I added the year with Splendid Mini Alpha. I really love the big Chipboard Alphabet Shapes from Blooming Wild. The ‘L’ was actually paper backed with a Blooming Wild Greeting Card. Check them out for more patterns and colors that aren’t seen in the paper collection.

The pretty foiled banner across my photo is from the Splendid Cardstock Stickers, as are the tiny hearts. Gold is a nice neutral you can blend on to any layout. Did you notice the vellum butterflies? Use white on white for an extra subtle texture.

Soon the snow will be flying, let’s head outside and enjoy this!

Thanks so much for your visit 🧡 See you again soon.

  1. Beautiful work, as always! I love fall, that transitional time when many flowers are still blooming and it is neither too warm or too cold yet. Wishing you a peaceful finish to autumn and winter season ahead, Kelly!

    1. Hello lovely! Just back from a trip to Denver and catching up. Thanks so much for your visit and cheer. Fall has been extra long and mild here in the North. I suppose we have global warming to thank. Jim’s Birthday was Nov 16th and there’s no snow yet. That’s a rarity indeed. Not since his teen years has his BD been snow free apparently. It has been rather nice not to get out the boots, scarves and mittens though. Winter will come soon enough. 💗xK
