Hey hi friends! Welcome back to my little crafty corner. When you think of Halloween colours, are they orange, black, purple or green? That seems to be what paper companies want to serve up. But that’s not my game plan, I’m all about creating something unexpected! Truth, I’ve never been keen on traditional Halloween collections. So what a treat to imagine my design with colours I love, from a number of Paige’s fabulous collections. This cut file, called Candy, is found in this fab bundle, 13 Halloween Cut Files Bundle.

To start, I began in the Silhouette Design Studio. I arranged a bunch of candies into a loose square frame and used the Weld Tool to connect them all together. It’s cut out of AC Cardstock.

I paper-backed all the sweet treats with Paige’s Garden Shoppe, Blooming Wild and Sugarplum Wishes. Next, I stitched every nook and cranny with 5 strands of DMC Floss, tone on tone. Stitching adds so much definition.

The cute ephemera is all available in Paige’s shop and you won’t find it anywhere else! There’s the Hey Pumpkin Chipboard Stickers, it’s full of the cutest icons and these Paige Taylor Evans exclusives: Stary Washi Tape, Enamel Dots and a fabulous Halloween Roller Stamp. !

Since the chipboard items are black, I wanted to introduce a tiny bit of black into Pastel-O-Ween. First, I made some black cardstock dots to covered coloured dots on the back ground paper. Next, I added a pink shadow behind the cut file did a running stitch all around with 5 strands of black DMC Floss. Ta-da, easy-breezy blended elements.

How about you, would you try pastel colours in your next Halloween layout? Thanks so much for coming by!

Things are pretty spectacular over there. I have dead plants and one pumpkin on my porch, LOL! Maybe dead plants add to the spookiness, LOL xoxo K

Hello sweet friend. Thanks so much for cheering me on. Truthfully, we don’t do much at Halloween except hand out treats. We tend to get around 200 kids. Apparently, our street is a favourite in the area, ha! I should pick up my game 🧡k
