136 Days to Christmas with Sugarplum Wishes

For once, I may actually be ready for Christmas !  This is my first Design Team layout with Sugarplum Wishes, by Paige Taylor Evans ! Filled with playful images and fun colours, it’s not your granny’s tired old Christmas paper and I LOVE that!

I’ve cut the ‘Christmas’ cut file from Paige’s,  ‘ 25 Christmas Cut Files Bundle 2021 out of red cardstock and glued it to a shadow of the cut file, cut from white AC Cardstock. Then, I chain stitched with all 6 strands of DMC Floss, tone on tone, to complement the letters.

The letters are cut from Sugarplum Wishes 6 x 8 Paper Pad and popped up with 3D Foam Tape.

Check out my detailed post at Paige’s Website today for complete product links, but here’s a few ideas to help your designs stand out:

    1. Offset your cut file with a bright and bold colour.

2. Add hand stitching.

3. Journal on Velum so you can see through to the background.

4. Make 3 vignettes with layers of ephemera

5. Create 3D ephemera by gluing three pieces together, like this tree.

Hope you’re inspired to pick up this collection and scrap along with us. Be sure to check out the Design Team fun at Paige’s Happy Scrappy Place on Facebook!

When do you start Christmas crafting ?

Thanks so much for being here!

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room. I love working with paper to make cards, layouts and Mini Albums. So happy you came by💛

    1. Hallo mijn vriend 💛 I know you Sinterklaas comes quicker to your house so it’s good you’re getting ready 😉 We’re actually on holiday next week to the mountains to visit friends. We’ve been friends since we were in grade 1. Now we’re in our 60’s, gak! LOL, time marches on, but in the nicest way. Have a beautiful day Herman and snuggles to Jimi 💛
