Hello again friends!   Thanks for following the link to my Blog. As promised, here’s the free Scalloped Border cut file used on my Hip Kit Club Design Team layout this week.

I made the scalloped border in Silhouette Design Studio with a paper from the September – Main Paper Kit.  It’s from the very pretty Pinkfresh Studio, The Best Day collection. The light blue polkadot paper felt so nostalgic. As you can see, I used the negative part around the edge. I love the pretty border on my layout AND have a nice scalloped page to use again on another layout.

After I opened the file in Silhouette Design Studio, I shrunk it down to 10.5 ” square to see more of the pretty Pinkfresh paper. The main cut file, ‘FALL’ is by Kim Watson and will be available to subscribers at our October Cut Files menu soon.  After cutting it out, I hand stitched with DMC Floss in coordinating colours. I always love the texture and extra interest of hand stitching on paper.

Did you notice I switched out the O in LOVE with an Pinkfresh embellishment?  I always try to look for ways to substitute lettering.  Wrapping a bit of metallic gold thread around it, gave it more of a presence. There’s so many gorgeous things to work with in the September Hip Kits, you’ll want to have a peek at them all !

    1. Thanks so so much Lavinia! Happy Autumn to you. I can only imagine the beauty that surrounds you at this time of year. All our leaves are fallen with exception of our columnar willows. They tower like golden spears all over the neighbourhood, above the rooflines. I love the view from our upper bedroom windows 🧡💛

    1. Thanks so much for your message and visit Vonderfrau 💛 This company does collections with non-traditional colours during each season. I love that. Anytime you need a craft fix, come on by. I don’t know what I do if I didn’t have something to craft during the day. I’m afraid I’d be in the fridge even more, LOL. If that’s even possible 💛🌸
