Hello friends, do you scrap along with ‘Christmas In July’ events ? This week, I’ve joined in the fun with Card 6 !
This sweet little bird is here to chirp an important message. As of today, visits from Santa are only 167 Days away.
I’ve used several collections, including My Minds Eye, Crate Paper and Hey Hello. Can you spot them? I’ve hand stitched each Memorydex Box Card and continued on Card 6. It’s my ongoing summer stash busting project and this is card 6 of 10. Each is free for your personal use.
I really love when there’s a common thread throughout a project, no pun intended. It might be a theme, limited colours, one collection or an element like stitching.
I use summer colours but a winter cut file and what I thought were wintery patterns. I live in a winter city and would love to see more colour in the winter. The polka dot stars remind me a bit of snow falling and you can never go wrong with a plaid scarf in cool weather.

Each one gets cuter than the last. Loved the video on how to do the stitching. I had not realized it was all hand stitched. Learn something new every day. Keep having fun.

Hey honey-bee! Thanks so much for your cheer. That stitching is so easy right? It’s actually tidier than my machine stitching because it’s straight, LOL ! We’re on our way to opening up here in Alberta. So I might even l leave my craft room soon 😀 💛🌸 K

Yay for getting out again. We are sort of open but still being extremely cautious. I sew like I walk, with a wobble. No straight lines anywhere. ;( Love all your projects.

That makes me soooo happy hon! I actually used a bit of crate paper here too. The wings are a piece from Carousel I believe and the Yellow and Pink paper in the stars is too I think, but I only have pieces without barcodes so I’m not sure. The base of the card has a very vintage piece of My Minds Eye…LOL ! It’s all in my closet 😀
