Kelly Made It For Paige Taylor Evans

Hello creative friends! Surprise! It’s cards 😀

I’m so happy to be sharing my newest Truly Grateful designs at Paige’s blog today. Inspiration came from three sweet and dear friends, who’ve all become first time mommy’s this year. Each card measures 6×6, two are top folding and one is a box card that folds flat for mailing.

For these two cards, I’ve used Paige’s Baby Animals cut file. Both the Teddy Bear and Bunny were chain stitched with white embroidery floss to add texture. Their little noses are  upside down hearts! Cute hey?

Did you notice the fringed ‘grass’ on the bunny card? This bunny is hopping through a flower garden with a very special greeting. I think a little birdie is chirping along with him.

I love adding glitter borders for that extra sparkle.  I simply add double sided tape around the edge and sprinkle with fine glitter.

The pretty heart filled with sequins was stitched before assembling. Gold is the common element in many of my projects and these cards are not an exception. I love that each layer is a unique pattern of paper but it still all coordinates beautifully.  That’s the magic of Paige Taylor Evans collections for Pink Paislee. With so many elements to choose from, no two projects will ever be alike.

Does the technique on my final card look familiar to you? Paige often fills open letters with pretty elements, like flowers and leaves. This cut file by Paige is, ‘Baby #300588’. The jewel coloured leaves were fussy cut from the 6×8 paper pad. They’re joined by gold ones I punched out of glitter paper.

I couldn’t decide on what colour of thread I should use, so I used them all 😀 How cute are the puffy stickers in this collection?  I was saving this bunny for something special.  I think it’s perfect for this card.

I’d love to see you there and thanks so much for stopping by.

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

    1. Hello my dear! While you are dreaming of your lovely garden, I’m up poking about 😀 Thanks for your cheer and yes, the McKinnon gals are 3 for 3 now. Three boys! Tina had a baby boy and they named him Cohen. He will join Jacob and Brody as the three luckiest grandbabies around ❤
The stitched baby card was inspired by layouts Paige has done with words and flowers. I couldn't decide what colour of thread to use, so I went with several 😀 I wasn't really thinking about how many stitches or what colour to put where. But luckily I used yellow where I later put a puff sun sticker, so Kismet strikes again, LOL xoxo

      1. I’m so happy to have met the McKinnon girls and two of their three lucky boys. I’m glad to hear all is well with the third. Laurie/Lori must be one proud mama.

I’ve been crafting here and there in very small doses, as life continues apace. I assembled little pumpkins from a Paper Source kit for the Thanksgiving table, and after several years, I finally busted out the Paper Source wreath kit and assembled that, too. I always think of you when I’m crafting. WWKD? xo

        1. aaaaannnndd, Bravo for diggin up old projects and finishing them. I remember that wreath I think. Is it made with tissue paper?
Did you do a Tofurky for Thanksgiving? I felt bad for so many stuck at airports due to weather. We’ve gotten off rather lucky so far. It’s been mild off and on, so there’s not much snow. I hope it holds off until after I visit you in sunny California xoxox ❤

    1. Hello lovely! Thank you for your kind message and for coming by too. Are you hosting at Christmas? I bet it’s beautiful out there. Maybe singing along to your beautiful guitar music and some old standards, as they say. We haven’t had much snow yet so who knows, might not be a white Christmas this year xK

    1. Hello Lovely !! Your messages always put smiles on my face! I rarely take on making cards, but I enjoyed the challenge. Layouts seem so much easier to me. I’ve had a peek of spring via Danella’s Instagram. Are you and Siddy enjoying the beach these days. I miss you all xK

      1. It’s been too cool and or wet to venture onto the beach yet. But it has to warm up soon doesn’t it….. But we still go to the park every day and take our long walk around the neighbourhood, rain or shine 🙂 I hear there is snow in your city already. We miss you too and your name is often mentioned with love xoxo
