Kelly Made It With Crate Paper – Main Squeeze

Hello and welcome back!

This year, The Hubster and I will be canoodling in Australia for Valentine’s Day 😀 So I had to be extra organized with any projects and of course there’s been a few with my favourite, Crate Paper!

I’ve crafted with Crate Paper’s fun and colourful, Main Squeeze collection.  It mixes so well with last years Heart Day and I was also able to enjoy adding that in too.

Glitter, pink, seafoam…….remind you of anyone?! LOL, I swear, the designers at Crate Paper are somehow kinetically connecting to my brain. Squeal! How pretty is this? I’ve made a couple of layouts and some shaker cards too. This one was my favourite because of the little robot girl cut-file 😀

She just makes me laugh with her bow and kissy lips.

You’ll find her in the Silhouette Studio Store, File #74817 by Lisa Norris.  The background cut-file is by Paper Issues and it’s FREE! I love shopping with them and their Facebook Fan Page is fun too.  Visit to be inspired and see gorgeous layouts with all the latest products. I made this layout to play their ‘Add It Up’ Challenge.

Here’s an idea to use up all that Washi Tape we love to collect.

I was able to rack up a lot of points by back-filling my Paper Issues cut-file with tape instead of paper. I traced the cut-file on to a piece of scrap and filled in the circles with Tape. Once laid behind my background paper, it looked awesome 😀

Hope your craftroom projects are making you happy too ❤

This is your friendly neighbourhood Scrap Machine wishing you an early

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Lot’s of new stuff in the wings with the Creativation Show just ending! What CAN’T you wait for??

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

  1. That is a really clever way to use Washi tape. I love the effect. You’re getting lots of mileage out of your cutting machine, too. No one could ever say you don’t get a ton of mileage out of everything in your BoomRoom.

I’m really enjoying my Tim Holtz stamping platform. Its a thing of beauty! After temporarily “losing” one of the powerful, circular magnets (it was trapped in my Big Shot) 😦 I’ve added wide washi tape to each magnet. They’re easier to pick up and also more prominent for these older eyes. I picked up that tip from Jennifer mcGuire. I have fun watching you have fun.

Now for a closer look at those cards. They look yummy

    1. Good Morning dearest ❤ I really love my Cameo. All my favourite designers on IG use it on almost every layout. I love snooping around the net for free cut-files too.
I like that idea with the magnets and washi tape, they are hard to pick up. It's a great tool, that stamping platform.
I'm pretty set for tools I think, but I did see a punch I want. It just punches a reinforcement. The small ring you put around the hole on paper. I thought it'd be fun for my planner. There's always something, LOL.
We should go to Creativation on year. Just for fun. Meet the designers and get a heads up on all the newest stuff. Too bad it's not in California now. Maybe they'll move it back. xo ❤

      1. I would LOVE to go to a Creativation one year. Do you have to be associated with a store or business to go? Oh my goodness what fun we’d have. Your hole punch reinforcer sounds like a handy tool indeed. Do you remember the donut shaped reinforcements that we had to lick for our binders. The adhesive tasted nasty, and they hardly every stayed put, at least in my experience. My we’ve come a long way.

I have some wide Washi tape with black cats on it. It’s the perfect size for holding the magnets and still leaving room to grab on to them. I’ve been using my platform a lot since buying it last fall. It’s a great tool.

        1. I don’t think you have to be associated with a business or shop at all. I know a few gals who go just because like me, they’re cocko-mungo for all the stuff 😀 If it get’s back to California, let’s do it! xo

    1. Hello Hello Lavinia! Thank you so much. I’ve been inside doing some sewing and crafting. The one good thing about winter weather, ha! Today was very wintery in Alberta, almost 9 inches of snow and the wind made everything drift into piles. At least shovelling’s good exercise xo K

    1. Oh which one hon? The glass mixed media work top? I’m excited about new collections by Paige Taylor Evans and Maggie Holmes. More Scrapbooking than mixed media I guess. Is there something you’re dying for? Too bad none of the new stuff will be in stores before I travel. I’d love to bring you something…pllllease PM me xoxoxo

      1. Yes, I love that mixed media work place, it is such a good idea and he is such a good sales person! 🙂 Thank you so much for your sweet offer, but I really don’t need anything – I have so much I could live for another fifty years and not run out of paper and colouring stuff 🙂 Just bring you ❤
